Event Details

21 June 2010 10:30 – 12:30, Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre Seminar Room, Park Place, Cardiff, CF10 3AT.

We are looking for some university staff and students to help trial a new Toolkit for Public Engagement that has been developed by the National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement.

What resources could help support your public engagement work?

What are the top things you need to be effective?

What types of resources could help people who are new to engagement?

We need your help to create resources for staff and students in HEIs to inspire and support them in their public engagement activity. Join us for this two hour workshop to help us develop these resources, and ensure that they are useful to you in your own engagement work.

We are intending to test out the draft toolkit and explore how to make it as useful as possible to people who are:

  • New to public engagement
  • currently engaging the public but want to develop skills/new ways of working
  • really experienced

People who attend the workshop will be eligible for a free place at the NCCPE national conference on 7th and 8th of December in London. (Please note that the NCCPE will cover the delegate fee but this does not include accommodation).

Directions to the location can be found at http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/psych/cubric/location/index.html.
